Phobia List

Phobias and fears are common.  It is possible for an individual to develop an irrational fear or phobia over virtually anything.

List of Phobias

The name of a phobia generally contains a Greek word for what the person fears plus the suffix -phobia. Creating these terms is somewhat of a word game although suffering from a phobia is certainly no game and no fun. Few of these terms are found in psychological and medical literature. However, this does not necessarily make it a non-psychological condition.

The following list has been adapted from the Phobia list and PsychNet websites.
